"Really clean, honestly kind of surprised"
The inside of the car was spotless and even smelled really nice. I was a little confused because I wasn’t expecting it to be that clean, but yeah, no complaints at all.

"I haven’t had any payment issues"
From my experience, the card has worked every time I’ve used it. Since none of my payments have failed so far, it feels reliable to me.

"Got my phone back the next day"
I left my phone in a Lyft after a late ride, I figured it was probably gone for good.

I used the lost item option in the app and support helped me get in touch with the driver quickly. He was really nice about it, we just picked a time that worked for both of us to meet up.

I had it back the next day with no hassle. Super thankful, the whole process was way easier than I expected

"I don’t have a lot of patience for..."
I don’t have a lot of patience for apps that freeze or waste my time, so I’m glad this one just works. It hasn’t crashed on me, and rides usually show up fast, which is all I really need.

"My refund came through faster than I..."
My refund came through faster than I expected, which was a nice surprise. It definitely gave me confidence that they know how to handle things properly when something needs sorting.

"I’ve used this app a bunch of..."
I’ve used this app a bunch of times, it’s been reliable. I mean, maybe I’ve just had good luck, but the drivers are usually solid and I always end up getting where I need to go.

"As someone who relies on honest reviews..."
As someone who relies on honest reviews when choosing a ride, I really think feedback should come from real experiences only. If you haven’t actually taken the ride, it’s better not to review it.

"GPS is usually accurate, I think"
Most of the time, Lyft’s map gets my pickup spot right and drivers can find me without any issue. Every now and then the route looks a little strange, though maybe I’m just second-guessing it too much. Overall it works well for me, just not perfectly every single time.

"Pretty comfy ride, driver seemed chill"
The seats were comfortable enough, and the ride felt smooth overall. The driver was relaxed and easygoing, so it was a nice trip for the most part.

"Bills were fine, but the tip part dragged"
The charges looked correct to me, so no issue there. But the tips took longer than I expected, and that stood out more than the rest of the experience.

"Canceling was surprisingly painless"
My plans changed last minute, so I had to cancel my ride, and it was way easier than I expected. The policy was clear, and since I canceled in time, there wasn’t any random surprise fee. Kind of a relief, honestly. Definitely made the whole situation a lot less stressful. 5 stars from me.

"Helpful accessible ride experience"
I used Lyft’s accessibility option for my mom, and it went smoothly. The driver was patient, the car was fine, actually, more than fine for what we needed—and the pickup was easy. It really helped us out that day

"Usually Feels Like a Good Deal"
I use Lyft a few times a week, and overall I just feel like the prices are usually decent. I don’t know, it’s not always some amazing bargain or anything, but a lot of the time the fare ends up being lower than I was expecting, which definitely matters to me.

I really like being able to see the price before I book. There’s just something reassuring about knowing what I’m getting into instead of wondering what the final cost is going to be. Compared to other apps, Lyft has felt like the better choice for me a bunch of times.

The drivers have mostly been fine too, no major complaints there. But if I’m being honest, the price is the thing that keeps pulling me back. It just feels worth it most of the time.

"My lyft account got deactivated out of nowhere..."
My lyft account got deactivated out of nowhere, and I really thought it was going to turn into a huge mess. I couldn’t log in at first, so I sent over the info they asked for and just had to wait it out, which was frustrating since I rely on the app.

Support did eventually get back to me and fixed the access issue, so my account is working again now. I’m glad it got resolved, but it definitely wasn’t instant, and considering the hassle and the time I lost, I’d expect some kind of credit or compensation for the trouble.

"In the end, I had my ride..."
In the end, I had my ride booked super quickly and didn’t have to deal with any hassle. The app was really easy to use, and everything felt straightforward from start to finish.

"Driver communication was just okay"
The ride itself was fine, like i said, nothing terrible happened. But the driver barely responded to my messages, so I kind of had to guess where I was supposed to meet him. Like i said, it wasn’t a huge deal, just annoying when you’re already in a hurry.

"Pretty easy airport pickup, just a short wait"
The driver found me at arrivals after about 10 minutes, which wasn’t too bad. The ride was clean and comfortable, but the app directions, could be a little clearer...

"Promo code worked, though I double-checked after paying"
I used a Lyft promo code I found before booking my ride, and it actually went through right away. No random errors or having to enter it over and over, which was a nice surprise. The discount showed in the app before I confirmed, but I was still a little suspicious after paying and kept checking to make sure the price didn’t change. The ride itself was normal, and the final charge stayed the same. Ended up saving a few bucks, so I’m happy with it

"Got help quick after a strange ride"
The ride was kind of weird, not really sure how else to put it, but they checked in with me fast after. It felt like they were actually paying attention and handled it well, so yeah, I appreciated that.

Lyft Q&A

**Uber and Lyft Under Scrutiny for Driver Background Checks** In a recent development, ride-hailing giants Uber and Lyft are facing scrutiny over their policies regarding driver background checks. Both companies have implemented stringent measures requiring drivers to submit to criminal background reports, with potential denial of employment if any past criminal history is found. This policy, according to the companies, is framed as a safety concern for their customers. However, questions have been raised about the double standard applied by Uber and Lyft. While drivers are subjected to rigorous background checks, the same scrutiny is not applied to customers. Critics argue that if safety is indeed the top priority, then shouldn't every single customer also be required to pass a criminal background report? "It's a matter of fairness and consistency," says John Doe, a vocal critic of the ride-hailing industry. "Why should drivers be held to a higher standard than customers? If safety is paramount, then everyone involved should undergo the same level of scrutiny." The disparity in background check policies has sparked controversy, with some alleging that Uber and Lyft prioritize profits over safety. "They're more concerned about losing customers than ensuring the safety of their drivers," says Jane Smith, an advocate for driver rights. "It's appalling that they would risk the well-being of their employees just to make a profit." Uber and Lyft have yet to respond to these allegations, but the debate over background checks is likely to intensify as concerns about safety and fairness continue to mount. Critics argue that until both drivers and customers are held to the same standard, there will always be doubts about the true priorities of these ride-hailing companies.

“Terrible company, they put out coupon. Ode to get new ppl, then don't follow thru”

Dear lyft support. am so depressed right now, i was unjustly accused and with that my account got deactivated. i wish some one could get back to me and listen to my side of the story. i picked up that passenger from her house and i dropped her to her destination. she refused to get out of the car saying that that was not the location she had put in. i immediately reported this to lyft and i that caos trying to ask the customer to get of my car because she had refused to get out.i recieved a request from another customer and i accidently accepted it. i immediately called the lady and explained the situation to her but she was not happy i asked her that i may need to cancel her ride so that i can deal with this first and she said no she needed to go somewhere immediatley. i didnt pick her with another customer in but i called her and explained the situation and asked her if she could kindly request for another ride. it took me like 25 minutes to sort the situation and i contacted lyft. please help me i dont want to deactivate my account i love working for lyft.

It appears that there are more complaints about lyft the compliments. i figure the ratio is about 10/1 if that. i would like to apply for a position but after reading all these reviews i am very hesitant.
